Sean Bean was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, Great Britain, on the 17th April, 1959 and is one of our most accomplished actors. A classically trained actor, Sean's portrayal of Boromir, in The Fellowship of The Ring, has finally brought him the international accolade, which he so richly deserves.

Sean was recently to be seen treading the boards in the West End in London, starring as Macbeth, a role he has long coveted. The play was so popular that the run was extended. The first time a Shakespeare play has been extended in The West End!  Sean is currently filming Troy in Mexico.  He plays Odysseus.

Sean is also well know for other international roles - Alec Trevelyan 006, in the Bond Movie Goldeneye, Sean Miller in Patriot Games, Spence in Ronin and Patrick Koster in Don't Say a Word, to name a few.

Sean Bean is a household name in the UK, with roles such as Richard Sharpe, Oliver Mellors from Lady Chatterley, and for the portrayal of Andy McNab in Bravo Two Zero, a small example from many roles Sean has played during his career, roles which he has made uniquely his own.

It's the Gulf War and Andy McNab's (portrayed by Sean Bean) is briefed to locate and destroy mobile Scud missile launchers deep behind enemy lines. As the "heli" lands in complete darkness on the bleakest of terrain, each man is carrying the body weight of a full grown man in equipment.

Within twenty four hours their position is compromised by a young shepherd boy who is trying to keep his flock of goats together. Trying to gain his confidence fails and the boy runs to the nearby enemy positions.

It is after noon and they have not been able to contact base due to a faulty radio. Cut off from base, and facing the worst weather conditions in the area for thirty years, they are in trouble, with two options..... try to make the RV or to try to make it to the Syrian border.

Bravo Two Zero is their true story, based on Andy McNab's best selling novel of the same name.

Ronin is a film about a group of former intelligence agents who are hired as private contractors. They are hired by an unknown group who are fronted by a woman called simply "Deidre".

As the film develops, each member of the team's history is explored, their morality and their attempts to reconcile past acts under the guise of Goverment Agents.

Each member of the team has his own speciality. Spence, (Sean Bean) is a weapons expert, other members of the group are drivers, electronics wizards and expert organisers.

They soon begin to realise that they are in a dangerous situation, and that the real purpose of the operation in which they are involved, isn't just the location of a mystery briefcase. It becomes apparent that the purpose of the operation is to kill them because they know too much.

Bond has a dangerous new enemy to face is this mission. Aided by the Russian Underworld, 006, Alex Trevelyan,(Sean Bean) once Bonds friend and fellow secret service agent, steals a secret helecopter and the lethal Soviet Space weapon "Goldeneye". Trevelyan is filled with bitterness, and wants revenge for the betrayal of his parents by the British during the war. He also wants revenge on Bond because he believes that Bond betrayed him and left him to die on a misison behind Russian lines. Trevelyan intends to use the "Goldeneye" to obliterate the Western World. That will be his revenge on them all. His first target is to be London.
